The Bible

We believe that all Scripture is divinely inspired and serves as the final authority in all matters of belief and behavior. Therefore, we value Bible-centered preaching as the foundation for all we do.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21

God

We believe God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. We believe He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as substitutionary sacrifice. We believe our redemption and salvation are guaranteed by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead
John 1:1, 14, 18; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24-26; 4:25

Holy Spirit

We believe God the Holy Spirit is a person who restrains evil in the world and convicts men of sin, righteousness, and judgement. He dwells in all who believe in Jesus. From the moment of belief in the Son, the Spirit baptizes believers into the body, seals them for salvation, regenerates them to new life, bestows spiritual gifts on each one, and is fully present to continually fill (control and guide) His own. Matthew 6:7; John 16:7-11; John 3:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 13; John 14:16-17; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18;
1 Thessalonians 5:19

The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each has the same nature and attributes, but is distinct in office and activity.
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Worship

We believe that we are created by God to worship Him and that glorifying God is the ultimate reason for our existence. Therefore, we will seek to praise and worship Him passionately—as individuals, as families, and as a local church.
John 4:23-24

Family

We believe that the family is God's foundational institution for human society. Therefore, we encourage lifelong commitments to marriage between one man and one woman. We support the ongoing spiritual nature of the family and are committed to honoring the priority of family time through our ministries and activities.
Matthew 19:5-6; Ephesians 5:22-6:4

Community

We believe that God instructs Christians to cultivate loving relationships as a community of believers. Therefore, we will actively pursue personal, family, and staff relationships characterized by integrity, mutual accountability, mutual serving, mutual encouragement, and mutual honoring.
Romans 12:10; 1 John 4:7-11

Life Change

We believe that all Christians should daily pursue a growing and personal relationship with Christ and that they are responsible for becoming more like Christ in their beliefs and conduct. Therefore, we will provide opportunities for every believer to develop a Christian worldview and thus engage the culture wherein he/she lives, works and interacts.
Ephesians 4:13; Colossians 1:28

Discipleship

We believe that God cares about the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every person. Further, we believe that every member of this church is called to minister. Therefore, we will develop lay leaders who will function effectively in their respective roles of service and, in turn, train and mentor other believers for ministry.
Ephesians 4:11-12

Evangelism and Missions

We believe that every person is important to God, that God desires a personal relationship with every individual, and that He has entrusted us with the message of salvation. Therefore, we will endeavor to share the message of salvation with all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, or economic status, in Midland, the Permian Basin, and throughout the world.
Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:18-10

Stewardship

We believe that biblical stewardship involves the proper management of all God has given us: time, money, abilities, etc., to expand His kingdom. Therefore, we encourage every member to adopt a lifestyle of stewardship that recognizes God's ownership of everything and to practice the biblical principle of tithing (giving at least one tenth of one's income) to support the work of the church.
1 Corinthians 4:2; 1 Peter 4:10
